Remove valve body assembly from vehicle.(Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/AUTOMATIC - 42RLE/VALVE BODY - REMOVAL) Remove the manual shaft seal (1).

Remove manual shaft/TRS retaining screw (1).Slide TRS off of manual valve shaft.
