Raise and support the vehicle.Remove the front wheel and tire assembly.

Remove the caliper (4) from the adaptor (3) (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/DISC BRAKE CALIPERS - REMOVAL).Remove the disc brake caliper (1) from the adapter (4).Never allow the disc brake caliper to hang from the brake hose. Damage to the brake hose will result. Provide a suitable support to hang the caliper securely.

Remove the inboard (2) and outboard brake pads (3). (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/BRAKE PADS/SHOES - REMOVAL).Remove the caliper adapter mounting bolts (1).Remove the caliper adapter (4).
