Remove the center floor console (3) (Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - REMOVAL).

Pull up on the equalizer cable (3) and then install a suitable tool (1) to lockout the park brake lever.

Remove the rear park brake cables (2) from the equalizer.When repairs are completed install the rear park brake cables to the equalizer, remove the lockout tool, check the operation of the system and then install the center floor console (Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/CENTER CONSOLE - INSTALLATION).
