- Set Condition:If the Anti-lock brake module detects an internal fault, the DTC is set.
Possible Causes
ABM - INTERNAL FAULT
Diagnostic Test1. ABM INTERNAL FAILURE DTC PRESENTTurn the ignition on.With the scan tool, read DTCs.With the scan tool, erase DTCs.Turn the ignition off.Turn the ignition on.With the scan tool, read DTCs.Does the scan tool display ANTI-LOCK BRAKE MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE?Yes- Replace the Anti-Lock Brake Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
No- Perform the ABS Intermittent Condition diagnostic procedure in this Section.
- Refer to the ABS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING)
