>Slowly rotate crankshaft counterclockwise sliding the bearing into position. Remove Special Main Bearing Tool C-3059.</ptxt></s1><s1

>Inspect main cap bolts for stretching . Replace bolts that are stretched.</ptxt></s1><attention3

>The main cap bolts should be examined before reuse. Bolt stretch can be checked by holding a scale or straight edge against the threads. If all the threads do not contact the
scale the bolt must be replaced .</ptxt></attention3><s1

>Install each main cap and tighten bolts finger tight.</ptxt></s1><s1
><ptxt
>Tighten number 1, 3 and 4 main cap bolts to 41 N·m + 1/4 Turn (30 ft. lbs.+ 1/4 Turn).</ptxt></s1><s1
><ptxt
>Rotate the crankshaft until the number 6 piston is at TDC.</ptxt></s1><s1
><ptxt
>To ensure correct thrust bearing alignment the following procedure must be done:</ptxt></s1><list1

>Move crankshaft all the way to the rear of its travel.</ptxt></item><item

>Then, move crankshaft all the way to the front of its travel.</ptxt></item><item

>Wedge an appropriate tool between the rear of the cylinder block and rear crankshaft counterweight. This will hold the crankshaft in it's most forward position.</ptxt></item><item

>Tighten the #2 Thrust Bearing cap bolts to 41 N·m + 1/4 Turn (30 ft. lbs.+ 1/4 Turn). Remove the holding tool.</ptxt></item></list1><s1
