Turn the ignition off to the lock position.Disconnect the Transfer Case (4WD) Switch harness connector.Ignition on, engine not running.Measure the voltage of the (T313) Mode Sensor Signal circuit and the (K91) Sensor Ground at the Transfer Case (4WD) Switch harness connector.Is the voltage below 4.9 volts?YesGo To 3No Replace the Transfer Case (4WD) Switch in accordance with the Service Manual.Perform the TRANSFER CASE VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/TRANSFER CASE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) 3. Measure the resistance between the (T313) Mode Sensor Signal circuit and the (K91) Sensor Ground circuit at the Transfer Case (4WD) Switch harness connector.Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?YesRepair the (T313) Mode Sensor Signal circuit for a short to the (K91) Sensor Ground circuit.Perform the TRANSFER CASE VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/TRANSFER CASE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) NoReplace the Totally Integrated Power Module in accordance with the Service Information.Perform the TRANSFER CASE VERIFICATION TEST.(Refer to 21 - TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE/TRANSFER CASE - STANDARD PROCEDURE) 5.
