Shift transfer case into NEUTRAL.Raise vehicle.Remove front propeller shaft. (Refer to 3 - DIFFERENTIAL & DRIVELINE/PROPELLER SHAFT/PROPELLER SHAFT - REMOVAL)Using Spanner Wrench 6958 (2), remove yoke nut. Discard nut after removal. It is not reusable.

Remove yoke (2) from output shaft. Use puller C-452 if flange can not be removed by hand.

Remove yoke rubber seal (1) from front output shaft.Remove front output shaft seal with suitable pry tool, or a slide hammer mounted screw.
