On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Disconnect the battery negative cable.Remove the mounting fastener.Remove the tweeter (1).Disconnect the electrical connector.Disconnect the battery negative cable.Remove the instrument panel end cap.Remove the steering column opening cover.Remove the amplifier. Disconnect the electrical connector.Remove the mounting fasteners in the left side of the instrument panel.Remove the speaker mounting fasteners.Remove the speaker (2) by carefully pulling the left side of the instrument panel outward until there is sufficient room to remove the speaker through the end cap area.Disconnect the battery negative cable.Remove the glove box.Remove the instrument panel end cap.Disconnect the electrical connectors.Remove the speaker mounting fasteners.Remove the speaker.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.Remove the mounting fasteners and remove the speaker cover grille.Remove the speaker.Disconnect the electrical connector.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.Remove the mounting fasteners and remover the speaker cover grille.Remove the speaker.Disconnect the electrical connector.
