Perform fuel system pressure release procedure (Refer to 14 - FUEL SYSTEM - STANDARD PROCEDURE).Drain the cooling system.Remove the upper intake manifold (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/MANIFOLDS/INTAKE MANIFOLD - REMOVAL).

Remove the fuel line (4) (Refer to 14 - FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/QUICK CONNECT FITTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE).Remove ignition coil and bracket.Disconnect heater supply hose and engine coolant temperature sensor.

Disconnect the fuel injector wire harness.Remove the fuel injectors and rail assembly (3) (Refer to 14 - FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/FUEL RAIL - REMOVAL).Remove radiator upper hose.

Remove the intake manifold bolts. Remove lower intake manifold.INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET IS MADE OF VERY THIN METAL AND MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY, HANDLE WITH CARE.Remove intake manifold seal retainers screws. Remove intake manifold gasket.
