Remove the engine cover.Disconnect the battery.(Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/CABLES - REMOVAL)Remove the silencer.Drain the coolant.(Refer to 7 - COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE)Remove the upper radiator hose.

Disconnect the generator connector (4).Remove the battery feed wire from the generator (3).Remove the generator bolts (1), and remove the generator.

Remove the generator brace (1).Remove the high pressure fuel line from the fuel rail.

Remove the fuel lines (3).Remove the fuel rail (6)..

Disconnect the glow plug connectors.

Disconnect the fuel return lines.Remove the fuel return line junction block.

Remove the heater hoses from the engine block.

Remove the EGR cooler.

Remove the thermostat housing.

Remove the coolant hose from the water pump.Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor.

Remove the idler pulley support bracket (1).Remove the fuel filter lines.Remove the fuel filter.

Remove the intake manifold.

Remove the intake manifold gasket (2).
