The EGR valve (5) is located at the rear of the intake manifold (7).

Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.Relieve cooling system pressure and remove EGR cooler (8). Refer to Engine Cooling for removal procedures.

Remove vacuum line from fitting (6).Remove EGR valve mounting bolts (8) and remove EGR valve (5) from intake manifold.Remove and discard old mounting gasket located between EGR valve and intake manifold.Clean mounting areas at bottom of valve and at top of intake manifold.
